    I find it is difficult to learn new concept English two ----

    The exercise :

    We can join simple statements together to make compound statement ,here are some of the joining words we use : and ,but ,so ,or ,both and ,either –or ,neither –nor ,not only –but also 

    Study these sentences ,and join them :

    1 Zhang Haidi was paralyzed

    2 she studied very hard 

    3 she learnt to speak several foreign languages

     4 she learnt   the acupuncture.



    My answer is ---

    Not only did she learn to speak several foreign languages, but also the acupuncture, the hardworking Zhang Haidi was paralyzed finally.

    Zhang Haidi, who not only learnt to speak several foreign languages but also the acupuncture ,,studied so hard that she was paralyzed

    我儿子的答案：张海迪姐姐不但学会了多门外语，而且学会了针灸，还那么顽强地学习，终于她瘫痪了。

  • 最近看了《三联十年》，几乎每一个人都会或多或少提到苗老师——这不奇怪，一是苗老师现在的位置使然，二呢，应该是那种特立独行的性格吧，在多数媒体从业者惟恐自己不够出位不够深刻的时候，某个人刻意保持低调简单反而成就了独特的品格。从大家的点滴描绘中，大概对苗老师有一个粗略的印象，然后我对一个问题产生了强烈兴趣：苗老师会和一个什么样的人结婚呢？——如果我是一个热爱足球，靠文字生活，多数时候只活在自己的世界里的男人，我想我不会对哪个女人保持兴趣超过半年。今天看到这篇blog，豁然开朗：那位苗师母，应该是位英语老师！
